when i realized i was actually going to be able to make a real booth for this summer’s queen bee market, and that i wouldn’t have to try and cram one into a suitcase, i had visions of grandeur. i wanted it to be big and beautiful and ME. but then i started to realize that i didn’t have enough time to make an amazing booth AND fill it with product. (have i mentioned that i don’t have an assistant yet? have i mentioned that i’m going a little nuts trying to keep up with orders? I AM.)
enter the husband.
clint is not a jack of all trades. clint is a MASTER of all trades. and i am not afraid to use his expertise. he agreed to take on the entire design and construction of the booth – checking in to make sure i was happy- and letting his imagination run wild.
best decision i ever made. (besides deciding to marry him in the first place, of course.)
i got so many compliments on my booth, it’s ridiculous. i had other vendors tell me they’d be willing to pay GOOD money for such a work of art. i am just happy he’s mine ;)
i promise, the pictures don’t do it justice, but here’s a peek:

curtains: urban outfitters
old windows: urban barn
mirror: ikea
frame: thrifted
chalkboards: clint
tables: clint
pipe frame: clint
entire concept: clint
see? the man is GOOD.
do you spot some new products? can’t wait to introduce you to them and get them in the shop!!
some close ups:
you probably can’t tell from here, but the necklace display is made out of an old weathered french door with window panes. i LOVE that it is totally repurposed and functional, and a great neutral backdrop for that rainbow of rosies.
i had some queen bee merchandise hanging out in my booth – my favorite of which is this tee. it says “when life gives you hands, make handmade.” will be adding to the shop soon!!
also a little sneaky peeky of more felt rosie colors!
do you see these tables? complete masterpiece.
when clint told me he wanted to make display tables out of old windows and pipe, i thought he was a little cuckoo. i trusted his instinct, and now i’m obsessed with them. wish i had a better shot of how cool they really are.
more QBM recaps to come, i’m sure.
i just can’t say enough about how much i love this market.
it is a giant pain the weeks before, but the day of makes it all so worth it. love our vendors, love our excited customers, love the feeling we get by pulling it off once again!
if you visited, thank you! what did you score?

I thought your booth was completely and totally beautiful.
AWE-to-the-SOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys need to sell those tables to Anthropologie…seriously. Amazing!
Your booth was amazing looking! Especially since I was helping my friend April at her booth, Marine Parents that was directly across from you. So since I was drooling all over your handmade goodness ALL DAY LONG…I scored 4 necklaces from you! Yes….4! Your husband did an awesome job putting all your tables together! I loved the look of it!

Seriously obsessed! I L-O-V-E-D your booth! I can not get over it! Please tell your husband to either 1. start a booth designing business or 2. give classes to other husbands on how to build amazing booths!! Once again you girls put on an amazing show! Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of something so fabulous!!

Wowza … just discovered you blog and what a great post to stumble on! Booths are so tricky … they need to be mobile yet visually impactful. Yours turned out AMAZING! Major props to the hubs :)

Love it all and want one of those t’s!!!!!
everything looks brilliant! absolutely gorgeous!
I loved your booth! You & your hubby did a great job! My photos of it will be up on my blog later today. I really enjoyed meeting you. I arrived around 1 & grabbed one of the last cuffs {mine’s melon}. I clipped my felt rosie giveaway win on me then in the lobby onto my bag. Sadly, by the time I’d walked from the lobby to the street, it was gone & not to be found. :(
I also bought one of the small plush owl ornaments, a reuseable sandwich bag, Pleated Poppy card holder/wallet & hair clips. Loved the QBM & so thankful it was a gorgeous spot to escape the craziness of BlogHer for an hour or two.
Just saw this on The Pleated Poppy..Wowza! This booth is amazing. I love the chalkboard “wings” with the mirror..such a great idea! You have a fantastic hubby..definitely bookmarking this for when I’m able to have a booth!
He must really LOVE YOU. What a work of art!!!! Hey—I’ve got it! Sell “Clint’s” display pieces—you both could retire. AMAZING VISION!!!
What a vision!!! That husband must REALLY love you!!! Wait! I’ve got it—let “Clint” sell his display pieces—you both could retire shortly. Amazing!!!
This is amazing! So cute and creative!
Can’t wait to see the new stuff in the shop!
Your booth was, indeed, beautiful! It was one of my favorites – both in products and in display! I can’t imagine how much work you guys put into this whole thing, but you pulled it all off beautifully! Loved everything about it, and can’t wait to go again next time!
PS – I was SO close to buying one of those shirts! Maybe next trip. :)
just catching up on your blog and wanted to say that those shirts are HILARIOUS. i didn’t see them at qbm but i would have bought one on the spot. too funny! you AND your husband are super talented — i totally admire your creativity. so fun to meet you in SD!
